Join us at Amanda’s Restaurant for business networking and sharing delicious food with sustainability-minded entrepreneurs. Breakfast will be from 8 to 9:30 am.
Speaker: Amanda West will speak about “Authentic Marketing for Socially Responsible Businesses: how to tell the world all the wonderful things you are doing without green washing”. Amanda is the founder of
Amanda’s Feel Good Fresh Food restaurant, serving natural-meat burgers, baked fries, salads, and freshly-made sodas all in biodegradable packaging. She is a Board Member of the Downtown Berkeley Association, a member of the Buy Local Berkeley Executive Committee, and an Advisory Board Member of the Community Alliance with Family Farmers Buy Fresh Buy Local program. Amanda has spoken at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State, and Berkeley City College. While launching the restaurant, she used her strategy and marketing background to consult for a variety of retail and technology businesses. Amanda received her MBA and BA in Economics with a minor in Spanish from Stanford.
Amanda’s meals and snacks are delicious, convenient, affordable, familiar, low-calorie, and made from the healthiest-possible ingredients. She uses organic ingredients wherever possible, and is committed to engaging in environmentally sustainable practices: the restaurant’s packaging and utensils are 100% compostable, the flooring is sustainably harvested bamboo, the main table is made of reclaimed wood, and the paints are low VOC (volatile organic compounds). In 2006, Amanda started the
Feel Good Fast Food blog to promote quick-service foods that are better for both customers and the environment.
